Community Comes Together to Serve More Than 500 Families at LHPH Back-to-School Event
Loving Hearts & Praying Hands Inc. recently hosted a successful Community Back-to-School Event, bringing together local organizations, businesses, volunteers, and community partners to help prepare families for the upcoming school year.
More than 500 community members attended the event, where families received:
🎒 More than 300 backpacks filled with school supplies
👟 More than 300 pairs of shoes
🍼 Diapers for families in need
🥫 Food, household essentials, and valuable community resources
Despite the summer heat, the event provided critical support to families while connecting them with local organizations and services. A highlight of the day was the on-site LYNX bus, which offered attendees a cool place to rest and recharge during the event.
Reflecting on the day's success, the CEO of Loving Hearts & Praying Hands Inc. shared:
"Today was nothing short of amazing! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU to everyone who came out today—our incredible vendors, community partners, volunteers, donors, and every family that attended. This is exactly why we do what we do.
Because of your support, we welcomed over 500 community members and were able to give away over 300 backpacks filled with school supplies, over 300 pairs of shoes, diapers for families in need, food, household items, resources, and so much more.
It truly takes a village. Every donation, every volunteer hour, every partnership, and every act of kindness helped make this event possible. Seeing the smiles on the faces of our children and families reminds us why we continue this work.
